The
RICE3000 real-time emulator is a key feature of your embedded system development. It supports Microchip
PIC12/16/18 microcontroller families. The RICE3000 emulator helps you debug your PIC application on your own
hardware in real time. It does so by using powerful real-time trace and/or setting break points on
the program or stepping through program execution, so you can examine each state of the program at any
given point. You can also monitor internal file registers, data bus activity and measure timing between events.
Unlike simulator or In-system debugger, RICE3000 emulator is real time and will not use any hardware
resources from target systems and it can run in full speed and truly emulate target processors.
RICE3000 comprises an emulator base and different emulation modules that support various members of the Microchip
family as well as other processors in the future. The emulator offers versatile and powerful features that
allow you to quickly debug your firmware code.
RICE3000 runs under Windows 98/ME/2000/XP on Pentium or compatible PCs, including notebooks and desktop computers.
